Special Child Health Services Assists Families of Children with Special Needs

Special Child Health Services (SCHS), a program of the Bergen County Department of Health Services, assists families of children with special needs.

SCHS provides case management for special needs children from birth to age 21 and their families. The program also offers early intervention for special needs children from birth to age 3 and their families.

SCHS has developed an informative user-friendly website especially for parents of special needs kids. The website allows parents to learn the usual growth and development patterns of childhood, and explains what types of assistance are available. Access to other resources is also included.
