The Bergen County Hazardous Materials Emergency Response Team operates out of the Environmental Health Program of Bergen County Department of Health Services. 

The team assists local emergency responders and coordinates with state and federal agencies and personnel. Personnel and equipment are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, to respond to hazardous materials incidents throughout Bergen County.
