8th Annual Walk At Work Day
on National Employee Health and Fitness Day

Walk at Work Day (W@W) benefits individuals and businesses

Wednesday, April 16, 2008
(or any day that week)

Open to all - workplace NOT required!

Today's employers know that dollars spent on workplace health can be returned in health care savings and fewer sick days. This is a chance to take part in a workplace fitness event at NO cost and reap the benefits!

All businesses are invited to participate by registering and encouraging employees to walk on April 16th. People at home or in school are also welcome to participate.

Special awards will be given to companies with the highest percentage of participants (in three size categories).

People who don't usually take a walk at lunchtime may notice feeling more energized and productive, and want to continue daily physical activity.

Remember, when employees are physically active, health care costs for preventable diseases and stress related conditions can decrease. Regular physical activity can prevent or delay many chronic health conditions.
