The goal of the Youth Incentive Program (YIP) is to prevent out-of-home placement of children and adolescents experiencing emotional and behavioral challenges. Under YIP, local volunteers representing service providers, county and state government and families and consumers serve on the Children’s Interagency Coordinating Council (CIACC). CIACC advises county government and the New Jersey Department of Children and Families about local needs. As such, the CIACC serves as the mechanism that advocates for a responsive, accessible and integrated system of care for children, ages 0 to 18 years, who are challenged by an emotional and/or behavioral diagnosis and their families and for young adults, ages 18 to 21 years, who are moving to the adult system. The CIACC allocates and monitors community development funds to enhance or develop local services. Please use the Needs Assessment link to contribute your experience as a family member, former consumer of children's services or provider.
