Assistance offered in creating more smoke-free places
Office of Health Promotion staff are available to assist local governments, businesses, restaurants, schools and community organizations in contracting towns reduce ETS by establishing smoke-free ordinances and policies.
In an effort to increase awareness of state laws prohibiting smoking on school property, the New Jersey Department of Health and Senior Services in conjunction with Bergen County Communities Against Tobacco has made Smoke-free School Zone Signs available to area schools upon request.
If your school does not have these signs posted, a school administrator may request them from the Bergen County CAT Coalition at 201-488-8680.
